Straight answers about what a class costs, what we bring, how long it takes and when your staff get their cards. If your question is not here, call and ask — you will get a person, not a form.
Yes. That is the whole idea. We teach at your workplace, anywhere in Massachusetts. Nobody loses half a day driving to a training centre, and you are not paying people to sit in traffic.
A room with floor space. A break room, a conference room, a bay with the truck pulled out — anything where people can kneel down and work on a manikin. You do not need a projector, a screen, or anything else. We bring the rest.
Yes, including early mornings, evenings and weekends. The instructor is a working firefighter paramedic on a shift schedule, which means the hours most instructors cannot cover are the easy ones for us.
A couple of weeks is comfortable. Shorter notice is often possible — if you have people whose cards are about to run out, call and ask rather than assuming it is too late.
Small groups are fine, but a class for one or two is usually better handled by joining one of our public classes. If you have a new hire who needs a card before the next full session, say so and we will work it out.
Yes, and it has to be. You cannot certify anyone in CPR from a video. Everybody works on a manikin, everybody practises with an AED trainer, and everybody gets corrected on depth and rate until it is right.
Adult, child and infant CPR, how to use an AED, and choking — conscious and unconscious. First aid is available too, either added onto a CPR class or taught on its own.
A working firefighter paramedic. Not a sales rep with a lesson plan. For larger groups other firefighter paramedics and nurses come along so the group stays small enough for everyone to get real practice time.
It happens — people get sick, shifts change, somebody gets called away. Tell us and we will sort out the people who missed it rather than making you book a whole second class.
No. Most people in a first class have never pushed on a chest in their life. That is exactly who this is for.
American Heart Association or Health & Safety Institute — your choice. If your industry, insurer or licensing board names one specifically, tell us before the class and we will teach to that one.
Within two business days of the class. Not same day, because the cards are issued through the certifying body and we would rather tell you the truth than make a promise that depends on somebody else's system.
Two years from the date of the class, for both AHA and HSI.
That is the part most places get wrong, and it is why we also track expiration dates. Every date from your class goes into our system, and somebody gets an email before a card lapses rather than after.
For most workplaces, yes — OSHA expects trained people and accessible supplies rather than one specific course. If a particular standard applies to you, send it over and we will tell you honestly whether what we teach covers it.
It depends on how many people you are training and which certification you need, so we quote each class rather than publish a price. There is no travel charge and no equipment fee — the manikins and AED trainers come with us. Call or send a message and you will have a number to work with.
Either. Most workplaces prefer an invoice with a purchase order number on it, which is no trouble.
Call and ask. If a class is not the right thing for your workplace, we will tell you that too.
